In this hands-on program, you’ll collaborate with AG-ACt knowledge mobilization experts to learn how to communicate to policy audiences!
Program Overview:
The Policy Briefs in Practice Program supports HQPs in developing evidence‑informed policy briefs with guidance from AG‑ACt knowledge mobilization experts. Participants will refine their topic, learn practical communication strategies, and prepare a brief for policy audiences.
- Only 15 spots available
- Open to HQPs at Canadian universities with a research‑based or evidence‑informed topic
- Honorarium provided to eligible participants
Program Timeline
- Intro Webinar: Watch the AG‑ACt hosted session facilitated by Dr. Zafar Adeel from SFU
- Application Window: July 14 to August 14
- Acceptance Notification: August 21
- Policy Brief Development: Work with knowledge mobilization experts from AG-ACt to refine your topic and independently develop a policy brief
- Final Submission: October 5
- Showcase: Completed briefs will be featured at the Cultivating Resilience Summit, October 26–27 in Calgary, AB
